Patient Participation Group
Our Patient Participation Group (PPG) meets to provide a forum for discussion about the practice.
We are your Patient Participation Group and we’re helping to make the Partnership Better! We’d like you to join us too. It’s an old cliché but its true: the more the merrier!
Need to know more? Please fill in the online form and tell us you are interested; give us your email address and a phone number and we’ll be in touch.
Sign-up and become a PPG member
We come from all walks of life, but we do need a few more people to join us on the PPG and diversity is important if we are to truly represent all the people that are patients.
We meet about four times a year, usually on a Wednesday at Swanscombe Health Centre for about 90 minutes or so, and share our thoughts and ideas with the Practice Manager and the GP’s, Receptionists and our ‘resident’ pharmacist. Everyone is there because we are interested in helping to make things better at our GP surgeries and clinics.
Here’s just a few places we’ve made a difference:
- Better Waiting Rooms and check-in arrangements at Swanscombe and Bean
- Improved booking arrangements and better on-line booking of appointments at all six Surgeries.
- We’ve advised on the refurbishment of Bean Surgery
- We’ve been interviewed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) who then gave us a ‘GOOD’ rating!
What else could we do to make our healthcare better at Swanscombe, Greenhithe, Bean, Elmdene, Bennett Way and Lamorna Surgeries? Come along with your ideas and thoughts.
We will be holding a meeting again soon but at present our meetings will be held virtually.
